KID'S STUFF

Zdinak's TV and educational scripts strive to convey information concisely but with humor.

MEET THE GODS
The video introduction to Gods, Myths and Mortals transports museum-goers to Ancient Greece through a dialog among bickering Olympians. Commissioned by the Children's Museum of Manhattan from The History Channel, the script is enlivened by AZ''s original storyboards.

TEEN KIDS NEWS
This segment on a teenage skeet shooting champion was written for second generation sports reporter Cody Gifford.

READING ADVENTURES
A suite of scripts for 30 second clips supporting
Computer Curriculum Corporation's elementary reading software. AZ produced two dozen of these covering a range of  topics and production styles.

DOCUMENTARY

Zdinak has written wall-to-wall voiceover narration and carved scripts solely from interviews -- or, like below, a little of both.

REBIRTH IN BROOKLYN
Excerpts from a documentary script on the first skyscraper built in NYC after 9/11. Shot over 2 years, AZ condensed over 100 field tapes into a gritty half hour primer on modern urban construction.

NARRATIVE

Zdinak's half dozen feature screenplays -- in contrast to his children's TV work -- explore explicitly adult themes. WEDLOCK, a psychological thriller about a marriage in crisis, was a Nicholls Fellowship semifinalist. The oft optioned NIGHT (aka EVERLASTING in Nigel Dick's rewrite) is a vampire romance.

He's currently commissioned to write a Japanese-American rock'n'roll indie film.
